Choosing Your Clock

• Location: Where do you plan on hanging up your clock? The amount of space you have will determine what size model you want to buy. If you have a lot of space, an outrageous oversized clock  or antique clock can be appropriate, but a smaller amount of space narrows down your choices a bit. Also, think about what kind of hooks the clock comes with for mounting on the wall. Is your wall weak or will it be able to hold up a large clock? Make sure your wall has the capacity to support the style you choose.

• Price:  Price can vary depending on what you're looking for; but keep in mind that a $10 white wall clock and a $80 quartz clock  can achieve the same goal depending on what you want. Remember, a clock can look expensive even if it isn't.

• Warranty: If your spending a significant amount of money, does your clock come with some kind of warranty? Whether it's for a year or a few months, if you've invested a lot, you want to know you can return the clock if it breaks.

• Materials: Is your room decorated mostly in earth tones? How about glass  or wooden furniture?  When choosing which clock to buy, you want to look at its composition, not only for durability but design.
