Tote bags 
are becoming more and more popular as the green movement grows in popularity. While totes are great for carrying any number of things, they've really been popularized for carrying groceries in an eco-friendly way (credit that to the "I'm not a plastic bag" bag if you want, or just thank the push for sustainable living). However, fashionable totes are still easy to find and the prices range from almost nothing to designer price tags. Let's start at the reasonable and work our way up.

Budget Totes For really cheap tote bags, personalized options are great. The Elite Tote is around a dollar if you order in bulk. These are also great for promotional giveaways if you have a business. Aside from that, you can find an inexpensive cotton tote for under 5 dollars. The great thing about cheap totes is that they usually fold up to a really small size and are reusable if you don't put them through too much wear. |
Canvas Totes Canvas totes are great for the beach or grocery carrying. They are easy to find at almost any store and reasonably priced. The other great thing about canvas bags is that they last for ages and rarely get holes in them! Lands End makes some nice totes that work well for hauling heavy loads like books and school supplies. For a computer, the Mango Tango Tote works very well. It even has a nice little laptop sleeve. |
Fashion/Designer Totes If you're looking for a nice tote bag to carry all your stuff around while retaining your usual style, check out some designer bags. Almost every brand is making a line of totes. Prada has some plain colored black and brown ones. Coach also makes tote bags, but most have the typical Coach pattern on them so they are a little less versatile. For something a little different, check out the Michael Kors tote bags. |
